Chengdu Nibiru Technology Co., Ltd. (tap4fun) was founded in 2008, initially focusing on smartphone application development. In 2011, the company began the R&D, publishing, and operation of mobile SLG games (which we define as map-based massively multiplayer online war games), successively releasing the "Empire Trilogy" (Island Empire, Galactic Empire, King's Empire), "Spartan War", "Galaxy Legend", "Invasion", "BrutalAge", and "SeaGame", gradually becoming a representative Chinese voice in the global mobile game market.
In March 2012, "Galactic Empire" topped the US App Store bestseller list, and in April 2012, "King's Empire" topped the Chinese App Store bestseller list. In the 2012 global mobile game enterprise revenue ranking released by AppAnnie, an internationally authoritative third-party statistics agency, tap4fun became one of only two Chinese companies to enter the top 50. In Deloitte's 2014 High-Tech High-Growth Enterprise ranking, tap4fun ranked first in Chengdu's top 20 and third in the national top 50.
In 2015, "Invasion" was selected by Facebook as the global Best Mobile Game of the Year, and in the same year, tap4fun first published its IPO prospectus, planning to list on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. On May 16, 2016, Apple CEO Tim Cook visited China for the eighth time, and tap4fun became the only game company invited to this event. On January 10, 2017, BrandZ, the brand consulting firm of WPP, the world's largest communications group, released the 2017 China Overseas Brand 30 ranking, in which tap4fun ranked 19th.
As of now, the company has over 400 employees and provides a comfortable working environment of nearly 10,000 square meters in Tianfu Software Park.
