Wuhan Baosteel Huazhong Trading Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huazhong Company) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baosteel International, one of the core industries of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. It is a regional steel sales headquarters established by Baosteel to better serve users in Central China. Relying on Baosteel's strong advantages in products, capital, technology, information, and talent, Huazhong Company mainly deals in Baosteel's carbon steel, special steel, and stainless steel series products. Its business covers steel trade, processing, distribution, and other fields, with services covering Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Henan provinces. To adapt to new situations and better serve users, the company has established an advanced steel trading e-commerce platform in Central China, which is organically integrated with Baosteel's advanced manufacturing and marketing computer management systems. In February 2007, the first phase of the Wuhan Baosteel Processing and Distribution Center was completed and put into operation. The processing and distribution center is designed with an annual processing capacity of 105,000 tons, specializing in steel processing, distribution, and warehousing services. The first phase introduced three high-precision shearing processing production lines, including a 1650 cross-cutting unit, an 1850 slitting unit, and a 2500 semi-automatic shear. In April 2008, the newly added laser tailor-welded blank unit was put into use; by the end of 2008, the second phase plant expansion project of the processing and distribution center will be put into use. Since being put into operation, the processing and distribution center has successfully provided processing, distribution, and warehousing services for major automotive, home appliance, and other users in the region.
