深圳市体育运动学校成立于1995年，是一所集教学、训练、医务科研、住校为一体的全日制体育中等专业学校，附设初中部、小学部，面向全国按照运动员选才标准招生。学校设有篮球、足球、羽毛球、乒乓球、跳水、水球、跆拳道、拳击、举重、柔道、摔跤、射箭、飞碟、帆船帆板等运动队项目，为国家培养和输送了大批优秀运动员。截至2018年底，共获得国际性、全国性比赛金牌210余枚，广东省运动会金牌约290枚，向国家队、解放、广东省队输送运动员约500人，培养出众多如肖俊峰、易建联、朱芳雨、何姿、陈佩娜、高峰、罗茜、吴鲁贤、张鑫秋等优秀体育人才。
