福鼎市生活焚烧垃圾发电厂项目位于点头镇马洋村王孙亭，该项目是福建省重点项目，并于2017年被财政部评为全国PPP示范项目。福建省环境保护集团中标该项目并于2016年5月13日与福鼎市住建局签订特许经营协议，负责该项目的投资、建设、运营，特许经营权期限为30年。该项目占地121.01亩，投资约3.357亿元，建设规模为日处理生活垃圾600吨，配置2x300t/d焚烧炉，年可处理生活垃圾量约21.9万吨，同步配套1 x12MW凝汽式汽轮发电机组, 垃圾焚烧产生的余热年发电量约9020万kw·h。
