Shanghai Electric Group (Zhangjiagang) Transformer Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group Co., Ltd. It was formed through the merger of "Shanghai Nanqiao Transformer Co., Ltd." and "Jiangsu Wuzhou Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd.", both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Shanghai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Group. The company is a comprehensive energy equipment and service provider integrating products, engineering, and services.

Located in Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the company is adjacent to the Yangtze River, near the largest inland river international trade port (excluding Shanghai Port), Zhangjiagang Port, and the largest bonded port area in Jiangsu Province, boasting a developed economy and convenient transportation. Covering an area of 168,000 square meters with a building area of 125,000 square meters, the company employs over 500 staff, with engineering and technical personnel accounting for more than 30%. It possesses over 600 units of world-class professional transformer production equipment, including a 1000-ton and 500-ton Georg cross-cutting line from Germany, 40-ton vertical winding machines, 25-ton horizontal winding machines, CNC insulation machining centers, 500-ton vapor-phase drying equipment, 300-ton air-cushion vehicles, full vacuum oil filling equipment, 200-ton iron core turnover platforms, and 2400-ton hot presses, with an annual production capacity of 100 million kVA. The company features fully enclosed dust-proof large transformer workshops covering 95,000 square meters, with a maximum lifting capacity of 600 tons, and houses testing centers of 3,000 square meters for 500 kV EHV and 1,000 square meters for 110 kV transformers, ensuring that product quality, performance, and testing technology reach advanced domestic and international levels.

Main products include: power transformers of 500 kV and below, rectifier transformers of 330 kV and below, electric furnace transformers of 220 kV and below, distribution transformers of 10 kV, dry-type transformers of 35 kV and below, amorphous alloy transformers, other special transformers, reactors, and various transformer products; prefabricated substations of 35 kV and below, charging pile substations, high and low voltage switchgear cabinets, metering cabinets, cable branch boxes, and other complete sets of products; and general contracting of various substation projects, on-site installation, intelligent operation and maintenance, and comprehensive services. The products cover a wide range and are widely used in power grids, power stations, metallurgy, chemical engineering, machinery, transportation, aerospace, new energy, and other fields, and can serve both domestic and international markets.
