Changsha R&D Center
In 2019, Schaeffler signed an investment cooperation agreement with the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee to establish Schaeffler Intelligent Driving Technology (Changsha) Co., Ltd., and set up Schaeffler Greater China's second R&D center, namely the Schaeffler China Intelligent Driving Research Institute, introducing mechatronic products and technologies related to chassis systems, such as the Space Drive steer-by-wire technology, Mover platform system, and 90-degree intelligent steer-by-wire steering modules for intelligent driving, into Hunan Xiangjiang New Area.
The Changsha R&D Center leverages Schaeffler's global R&D network and technical expertise, working closely with the regional R&D center in Anting, Shanghai, to collaboratively conduct R&D on future intelligent driving technologies. This marks that Schaeffler's core intelligent driving technologies and products have entered the implementation stage in China, moving from market promotion to deployment.
