Gikaigene

Founded in 2002, Gikaigene is committed to providing customers with full-process technical services and solutions from basic research to new drug discovery and development. Its business covers gene research, target discovery, target validation, new drug development, and new drug evaluation, continuously empowering source innovation in the CGT field and robust drug development. Gikaigene is the Shanghai Engineering Research Center for Tumor Drug Gene Target, having established cooperative relationships with over 300 Grade III Class A hospitals and tens of thousands of clinical doctors nationwide. With the support of major projects by the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Office, it has developed a target discovery system based on medical big data. Additionally, Gikaigene is one of Shanghai's first technological innovation centers—the Gene Therapy Technology Innovation Center—continuing to help clients develop CGT products.

As of December 2022, Gikaigene has completed over 100,000 projects for more than 300 partner organizations globally and undertaken over 40 national/local R&D projects. The viral vector platform provides viral vectors such as Lenti, AdV, AAV, and HSV to the industry, processing over 20,000 viral orders annually and running more than 2,000 projects simultaneously each day. The omics platform offers services including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, single-cell sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis. The new drug development and evaluation platforms provide one-stop, high-quality drug development and evaluation services to global pharmaceutical companies, advancing more clinically valuable drug research.

Through over 20 years of technical accumulation, Gikaigene has built unique advantages in the CGT field, particularly in CAR-T and TCR-T, ensuring the continuous provision of high-quality technical services and effective empowerment of partners' new drug R&D projects. In recent years, Gikaigene has participated in CGT cooperation projects with dozens of biomedical companies, including Sino-US listed companies, and has helped multiple partners advance their projects into clinical stages.
