Wuhan Digital Construction Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established on June 2, 2020. It was founded with the support of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, its School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, Academician Ding Lieyun's team, and governments at all levels in Hubei Province, Wuhan City, and East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Its core team has led major consulting research projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including "Strategic Research on High-Quality Development of China's Construction" and the key consulting research project "Strategic Research on China's Construction 2035," and has undertaken or participated in more than 10 National Key R&D Programs and Science and Technology Support Programs. Its research achievements have won 2 Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 3 First Prizes of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and it owns more than 20 authorized national invention patents and more than 40 software copyrights. In engineering safety technical services, BIM technical services, intelligent construction site technical services, and other areas, it has cooperated with units such as Wuhan Metro, Wuhan Urban Construction Investment & Development Group, and Sinopec-SK (Wuhan) Petrochemical Company, and has completed a number of major engineering science and technology service projects involving bridges, tunnels, subways, super high-rise buildings, and other projects.
In the future, Wuhan Digital Construction Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. will face the competitive frontier of global engineering construction, target "bottleneck" key technologies such as the independent development of core engineering basic software, the intelligentization of engineering construction equipment, and core original algorithms for engineering big data services, build a digital construction innovation platform centered on engineering basic software, intelligent construction sites, high-end engineering equipment, and engineering big data, and construct a digital construction industry innovation cluster park. It will build an integrated innovation platform for scientific research innovation and industrial innovation with international influence, and on this basis strive to create a National Technology Innovation Center for Digital Construction and Engineering Safety and a National Digital Construction Industry Innovation Center, playing a core supporting and leading role in cultivating and building a trillion-level digital construction industry cluster for the country.
