China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "China Energy Engineering Group") was established on September 29, 2011. On December 19, 2014, China Energy Engineering Group and its wholly-owned subsidiary China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. initiated the establishment of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (abbreviated as "China Energy Engineering"). Its wholly-owned subsidiary China Energy Engineering Group Planning & Engineering Co., Ltd. was formed in May 2018 through the merger of 14 provincial-level design institutes under China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited and 6 regional design institutes under China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 10 billion yuan. The enterprise China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. continues to be retained and is managed by the Planning & Engineering Group. On January 1, 2022, the company began unified operations under the name "China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd.". China Power Engineering Consulting Group New Energy Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. It was established in 2013 by integrating the new energy business segments of its affiliated China Power Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. and Beijing Luosida Technology Development Co., Ltd., as a specialized company with a registered capital of 600 million yuan. The company holds a Grade A qualification certificate for engineering design in the power industry, Grade A qualifications for power industry specialties (thermal power generation (including conventional island design for nuclear power plants), power transmission engineering, and substation engineering), Grade B qualifications for engineering survey specialties (engineering measurement and geotechnical engineering), and a pressure pipeline design license certificate. It also holds national certifications for quality management system, environmental management system, and occupational health and safety management system. The company is mainly engaged in engineering consulting, survey and design, engineering general contracting, planning research, technology research and development, project investment and development, operation, and related technical product development in the fields of new energy and new energy formats, distribution networks, and environmental governance. In September 2020, the International Branch of China Power Engineering Consulting Group New Energy Co., Ltd. began substantive operations in Wuhan, mainly engaged in general contracting business for new energy projects (photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation, etc.) worldwide, carrying out general contracting, design, consulting, technology research and development, and technical cooperation for new energy projects, developing project resources for new energy and smart energy, and assisting and cooperating with relevant group departments and units in investment cooperation for new energy projects.
