Lite-On Smart Automotive is the intelligent vehicle application division under the Lite-On Group, primarily engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of automotive electronic products.
In 1995, the Group's Industrial Research Institute recruited an excellent R&D team to venture into the field of optical disc drive research and manufacturing. To focus on this industry, Lite-On IT Corporation was established in March 1999, gradually building a leadership position in optical drive manufacturing.
In 2003, Lite-On Optotech (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. was located in the beautiful Guangzhou Science City.
In 2017, the company was renamed from the former Automotive Electronics Application Division to the Intelligent Vehicle Application Division. In the future, the company will focus on the development of products such as LED automotive lighting modules, vehicle-mounted cameras, in-car human-machine interfaces, entertainment systems, connected vehicles, and vehicle sensors, including HUD, T-BOX, Wireless Charge, etc.
In 2020, Lite-On was renamed Lite-On Smart Automotive (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., focusing on the R&D of automotive electronic products.
