Nanjing LG Chem New Energy Battery Co., Ltd. is located in the LG Industrial Park of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone. It was established in September 2014, jointly invested by LG Chem Ltd. of South Korea, Nanjing Zijin Xingang, and Xingong Group. Together with the Korean and American plants, it forms the three major global production systems of LG Chem.
The company's main products are automotive power batteries, including lithium polymer batteries used in HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), and EV (Pure Electric Vehicle). Mass production began in December 2015, with an annual production capacity for electric vehicle batteries of 100,000 vehicles, achieving "zero emissions" and "zero CO2".
