Wuhan Ecological Environment Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Ecological Design & Research Institute) was formed through the reorganization of four enterprises under Wuhan Ecological Environment Investment & Development Group Co., Ltd.—Wuhan Municipal Construction Research Co., Ltd., Wuhan Urban Flood Control Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., Wuhan Jianghuan Municipal Environmental Design Center, and Wuhan Jingrui Construction Engineering Testing Co., Ltd.—in implementation of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises and accelerating business integration. It is a strategic deployment by the Group to seize the market opportunities in ecological design and fill the gap in the city's ecological design field, and an important measure to strengthen and expand the Group's design segment and extend and reinforce the industrial chain. At present, the Ecological Design & Research Institute has nearly 300 employees, including more than 240 professional and technical personnel in architecture, structure, roads, bridges, water supply and drainage, landscape, electrical, HVAC, power, cost, consulting, environmental protection, geotechnical engineering, etc., among whom there are more than 100 registered professional engineers of the state and more than 160 intermediate and senior engineers; it possesses more than 10 survey and design qualifications and general contracting qualifications, including Grade A in municipal engineering, Grade A in water conservancy (urban flood control), Grade A in construction (building engineering), Grade A in landscape architecture, Grade A in engineering surveying, Grade B in geotechnical engineering investigation, Grade B in engineering consulting, Grade B in engineering cost consulting, Grade B in environmental engineering, and water resources assessment. The Ecological Design & Research Institute is committed to becoming a leading comprehensive ecological environment service design institute.
