Rootcloud Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Rootcloud") was established in June 2016, focusing on building an industrial internet operating system - the Rootcloud (ROOTCLOUD) platform, positioned as a new foundation for industrial digital transformation. It constructs platform-based IoT access products, industrial apps, data intelligence, and innovative applications. Through cross-industry and cross-domain industrial internet platforms, it provides industrial enterprises with low-cost, low-threshold, high-efficiency, and high-reliability digital transformation services.

Throughout its history, the company has maintained high-intensity R&D investment, with R&D expenses accounting for 50% of revenue (average over the past three years). As of December 31, 2021, the company had over 1,600 employees, with master's and doctoral degree holders exceeding 20%, and R&D personnel accounting for more than 66%, primarily from BAT, Huawei, IBM, GE, Siemens, Accenture, etc. The number of invention patents and software copyrights reached 49 and 130, respectively, with invention patents focused on industrial internet platform domains, including edge-side collection and processing of industrial equipment, platform equipment visualization and digital twin applications, industrial monitoring and artificial intelligence applications, and other hot fields.

Currently, Rootcloud has been selected for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Cross-Industry Cross-Domain Industrial Internet Platform List" for three consecutive years, and is also one of the Chinese industrial internet platform enterprises that have been selected for Gartner's "Magic Quadrant for Global Industrial Internet Platforms" for three consecutive years. It is a leading enterprise in Guangzhou's key industrial chain for "software and Xinchuang." As of now, the Rootcloud platform has passed the Ministry of Public Security's Information System Security Level Protection Level 3 assessment and CMMI Level 5 evaluation certification.

As of now, the Rootcloud platform supports over 1,100 types of industrial protocols, connects over 900,000 high-value industrial devices, covers more than 5,000 device types, and manages total assets exceeding 740 billion RMB.
