Chuanning Bio is affiliated with Kelun Group, which was founded in 1996 and has now formed a 'pin' shaped operating platform consisting of Kelun Pharma, Chuanning Bio, and Kelun-Biot, with a total market value exceeding 100 billion yuan. In 2023, Kelun ranked among the top three pharmaceutical manufacturers in China. Kelun has applied for more than 1,300 invention patents and obtained over 700 invention patent authorizations, becoming a leading enterprise in China's generic drug industry.
Yili Chuanning Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in December 2010. The Chuanning Bio project covers an area of 1,319 mu. Its main products include thiocyanate erythromycin, cephalosporin, penicillin and other antibiotic intermediates, as well as high-end APIs such as UDCA and coenzyme Q10, with a total annual production capacity of over 16,000 tons. The company has established a post-doctoral research workstation, a demonstration base for industry-university-research joint training of graduate students, and an academician collaborative innovation center, cumulatively undertaking 45 science and technology projects at the national, autonomous region, and Yili Prefecture levels. As of April 2024, it has been granted 68 patents, including 32 invention patents.
