CSPC Holdings Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1997. Under the philosophy of "Produce good medicines, serve China, and benefit people worldwide," the company has achieved double-digit growth in key operating indicators for many years through innovative development. It has now evolved into an international innovative enterprise with 28,000 employees. Its Hong Kong-listed subsidiary (01093.HK) has been included as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index, and represents China's pharmaceutical industry in the global ranking of pharmaceutical R&D pipeline scale, ranking 19th, serving patients worldwide.

Through innovation and participation worldwide, CSPC continuously provides better innovative achievements for human health. It has established a diversified product system, deeply cultivating three major segments: finished drugs, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and functional foods. Actively engaging in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, the group's mRNA COVID-19 vaccine is China's first self-developed COVID-19 vaccine to receive emergency use authorization. In areas such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and anti-tumor treatments, it has launched innovative drugs like NBP (Enbipu), Mingfule, DuoenYi, Jinlitai, Haiyitan, Duoenda, Enshuxiang, and Shanzeping. NBP, Xuanning, and Jinyouli have all won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the highest national award in the pharmaceutical field. The group also deeply constructs a global industrial chain through APIs that hold an absolute share of the international market, safeguarding the security and stability of the international pharmaceutical industry chain.

CSPC regards innovation as the pathway to corporate development and the improvement of human health, and makes sustained efforts towards this goal, investing approximately RMB 5.7 billion annually in R&D, with double-digit growth each year. Leveraging eight major technology platforms including nano-formulation drugs, mRNA, and ADC, and focusing on six therapeutic areas: oncology, psychiatry and neurology, cardiovascular, immunology and respiratory, metabolic, and anti-infection, CSPC has over 200 innovative drug projects in its pipeline, including over 90 large molecules, over 60 small molecules, and over 50 novel formulations. It is expected that by the end of 2028, over 50 new drugs or new indications will be submitted for market approval. The continuous expansion of the R&D pipeline reflects CSPC's relentless exploration in new disease areas. Today, CSPC's innovation reach has extended worldwide. Its five global R&D centers and a high-end R&D team of over 2,000 people are engaged in scientific research for new technologies, new targets, and new fields every day. Currently, it has obtained more than 30 overseas clinical trial approvals, 16 new products/indications have received FDA Fast Track or Orphan Drug Designation, and 15 products have received ANDA approvals. At present, relying on an international quality system, CSPC has obtained 15 CEP certificates and 24 DMF registration numbers. It has also built an international BD ecosystem, extending its pipeline through licensing-in, collaborations, and acquisitions: currently, the total contract value of the group's out-licensing projects exceeds USD 16.6 billion. In June 2025, it entered into a strategic R&D collaboration with AstraZeneca on an AI-driven dual-engine efficient drug discovery platform, with a total contract value of USD 5.33 billion.
