首农 Food Group

Beijing首农 Food Group Co., Ltd. was approved by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and was established in December 2017 through the merger and restructuring of the former首农 Group,京粮 Group, and二商 Group. In December 2018, it was restructured into a state-owned capital investment company with the approval of Beijing. In January 2019, it was entrusted to manage Beijing Vegetable Basket Group Co., Ltd. In September 2022, Xingdongfang Technology Company, the agricultural technology and equipment segment under BAIC Group, was fully integrated into the company.


The Group adheres to the theme of promoting high-quality development, firmly grasps the requirements of the new era of capital city development, focuses on the main business of the agricultural and food industry, and takes the lead in guiding healthy and beautiful life. It builds an open industrial ecosystem centered around the "one body, two wings, and three platforms" framework and a development pattern of "rooted in Beijing, relying on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, deploying across the country, and going global," effectively shouldering the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the capital's food supply and strengthening the capital's food industry. The Group has built a full industrial chain covering breeding, planting and breeding, product processing, trade and circulation, and terminal sales, encompassing categories such as dairy, grain, oils, meat and aquatic products, sugar and wine, and non-staple food seasonings, forming a full industrial chain from field to table and a full industrial pattern of integrated development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, undertaking the glorious responsibilities of the capital's citizens' "vegetable basket," "rice bag," "milk bottle," and "meat board." By the end of 2021, the Group's total assets and total operating revenue reached 164.9 billion yuan and 183.1 billion yuan respectively, achieving double growth for four consecutive years in economic development, and being selected consecutively as one of the "Top 500 Chinese Enterprises," ranking among the top of China's leading agricultural industrialization enterprises. It has cultivated a series of China Time-honored Brands and well-known brands favored by consumers, holding 13 China Time-honored Brands and 19 Beijing Time-honored Brands. The "Yueshengzhai Braised Beef and Mutton Production Technique," "Liubiju Pickled Vegetables Production Technique," and "Wangzhihe Fermented Bean Curd Brewing Technique" have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection catalog. According to the 2022 World Brand Lab "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" data, the cumulative value of "首农" and its sub-brands "Sanyuan," "Guchuan," and "Dahongmen" exceeded 160 billion yuan.


Group-affiliated enterprises possess 20 technological innovation platforms including national and provincial-level engineering technology research centers, key laboratories, and post-doctoral research workstations, hold more than 900 valid patents, and have won 25 national and provincial-level government science and technology awards. The Group has established a "government + enterprise + research institute" "golden triangle" model, implemented livestock and poultry seed industry projects to support the construction of the "Pinggu District Modern Agricultural Industrial Park" in Beijing. It has taken the lead, together with China Agricultural University and CITIC Agriculture, in establishing the Beijing Biological Seed Industry Innovation Consortium. All livestock and poultry seed industry enterprises under the Group have been selected into the national seed industry array enterprises, becoming an important support for carrying the national seed industry revitalization and Beijing's construction of the "Capital of Seeds." The technology of biologically cultured meat is leading nationwide, and agricultural equipment technology is advancing.
