湖南中科食生物科技有限公司前身为湖南老面匠食品有限公司，创立于2017年，是一家拥有乳酸菌发酵新型专利技术且集研发、生产、销售于一体的现代食品企业。公司研发团队由食品微生物发酵方向的博士领衔，历经多年潜心研发及数年配方优化，方得实现目前独有的国家专利乳酸菌（GRAS菌种）发酵技术。
为了做出更安全、更高品质的面点，公司改良传统发酵工艺与生产设备，甚至手绘每一张设备图纸并单独打样生产。公司的揉面、发酵装置等关键制造工序的设备都是自行研发并获得国家专利。2020年初，公司配套建设了全自动化中央厨房生产线。
