广盛原中医药有限公司肇启于明万历八年（1580年），其前身为1956年公私合营的大同中药厂,公司位于山西省大同市经济技术开发区*医药工业园区，占地约7万平方米，是一家以“让中医药回归为生活方式”为愿景，以“让年青人爱上中医药”为使命，以“炮制之繁无以复加、取利之薄无以复减”为价值观的老字号中医药企业。是山西省中药品种*齐全，剂型*丰富的老字号中医药生产企业。
2019年10月25日，经国家市场监督管理总局批准，公司正式盛世重光为“广盛原中医药有限公司”，成为国内*家由中药厂升级为全国性“中医药”公司的企业。
2024年荣获“中华老字号”称号、荣誉。
公司拥有胶囊剂、颗粒剂、散剂、糖浆剂、片剂、丸剂（蜜丸、水丸、浓缩丸、微丸）、中药饮片等生产线，共有药品批文168个，其中独家品种十四个，国家中药保护品种五个，国家发明专利品种六个。
