英明老人疗养院于1998年建院，是社会福利协会单位会员，是“广州康老协会”敬老、爱老、助老服务基地，是“广州青年志愿者协会启智服务总队”志愿服务基地。2003年本院被中国老年法律救助中心、中国老年法律救助宣传表彰活动委员会评为全国尊老、敬老、助老示范单位。2011年我院院长被广州康老协会聘为名誉会长。本院拥有500多张床位，设有单人房、双人房、三人房、四人房、五人房、六人房等，能满足不同层次和不同类型经济条件的长者需求；标准房内设有独立卫生间、配有电视或空调；本院设有健身室、阅览室、棋牌、麻将等活动场所，供老人休闲娱乐需要。本院经卫生局批准设有医务室、配有多名医生、护士、护理人员，24小时为老人健康、生活服务。为每位入住老人建立健康档案，全程记录老人健康情况。在本院内可基本解决老人一般疾病的治疗和护理。让老人住的安心、家属放心。本院还开设有临终护理业务，接受一些长者病危、家庭经济困难的临终老人。使临终老人的生命质量得到提高，维护老人的尊严，同时也使临终老人的家属、亲友得到我院员工的关怀、慰藉。
