Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited is a wholly state-owned enterprise authorized by Guangzhou Municipal Government to manage state-owned assets. It is engaged in the research and development, production, sales, and provision of health and wellness services related to the overall pharmaceutical industry, including Chinese patent medicines, chemical drugs, biological drugs, big health products, and medical devices. It is a large enterprise group integrating science, industry, and trade, and is a key supported enterprise in Guangzhou. GP Holdings has one listed company, Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong stock code: 0874; Shanghai stock code: 600332), and more than 30 member enterprises, including 12 China time-honored brands such as 'Wanglaoji' with a brand value of 108 billion yuan, 'Baiyunshan' with a brand value of 28.3 billion yuan, and 'Chen Liji' with a history of 421 years as the world's longest-lived pharmaceutical factory. After years of meticulous development and accelerated growth, it has gradually formed four major business segments with distinctive GP characteristics: 'Big Southern Medicine', 'Big Health', 'Big Commerce', and 'Big Medical', as well as three new business formats: 'E-commerce', 'Capital Finance', and 'Medical Devices'. In 2021, GP Holdings made its debut on the Fortune Global 500 list, ranking 468th, becoming the world's first enterprise with traditional Chinese medicine as its main business to enter the Fortune Global 500. It also ranked 129th among China's top 500 enterprises, up 26 places from 155th in 2020. In the list of the world's most valuable pharmaceutical brands in 2021, GP Holdings entered the global top 20 for the first time, ranking 19th.
