It is a high-tech enterprise integrating implantable medical hardware technology and artificial intelligence algorithm technology. Headquartered in Shenzhen, it has research centers in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Jinan. The company has nearly 600 employees, and its core team is led by science and engineering scientists from prestigious universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Caltech, Princeton University, and the University of Washington. Since its founding, SiBionics has been committed to developing innovative medical device solutions for the treatment of national rare diseases such as neurovisual regulation, diabetes, blinding eye diseases, and gastrointestinal cancer, as well as for the monitoring, prevention, control, and diagnosis and treatment of major national chronic diseases. Its main projects include Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGM), Diabetic Retinopathy Fundus Image Assisted Diagnosis Software (AI-DR Screening), Implantable Retinal Electrical Stimulator RPS60, Semi-automatic Cruise Magnetic-controlled Capsule Gastroscopy System, and diabetes digital therapeutics. Among them, the core technology product SiBionics GS1 Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGM, National Medical Device Registration Certificate No. 20213070871 (Class III)) is a high-end blood glucose monitoring medical device approved by the National Medical Products Administration, developed based on the principle of second-generation biosensors, and achieving fingerstick-free calibration. It effectively broke the situation of near-total monopoly of such imported products in the domestic market and consecutively achieved the top position in domestic CGM sales in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2024, with the goal of "going global", the company rapidly launched the globalization of its core product SiBionics CGM. By the end of 2024, the company had completed distribution authorization contracts in nearly 80 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other regions, bringing new hope to more diabetes users worldwide.
The company has successively undertaken and participated in 3 key research and development projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
