- [Nanchang Jiaotong University (formerly Institute of Technology, East China Jiaotong University)] was established in 2001 and is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. At the end of 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was converted and renamed Nanchang Jiaotong University, making it one of the first universities in Jiangxi Province to successfully complete the conversion. At present, the school focuses on undergraduate education, while also offering associate degree education, appropriately carrying out continuing education and skills training, and jointly cultivating master's students with East China Jiaotong University in five majors: Architectural and Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, and Translation. - [School Conditions] The school currently has Nanchang Huangjiahu Campus, Jing'an Moxuanhu Campus, and Jing'an College Student Internship and Training Base, covering a total area of over 5,000 mu. It is equipped with intelligent multimedia classrooms, smart teaching live-streaming and recording classrooms, network language labs, computer rooms, cloud desktop computer rooms, and Mandarin training and testing rooms, as well as 101 on-campus experimental and training laboratories in physics, machinery, automobiles, testing, mechanics, architecture, electrical engineering, electronics, communications, microcontrollers, networking, 3D printing, logistics, photography, broadcasting, moot court, simulated securities, etc. It has established 105 stable off-campus internship and training bases, with a total value of 113 million yuan in teaching and research instruments and equipment. The library has a collection of over 1,443,500 paper books and over 1,254,500 electronic documents. Disciplines and Majors: The school currently has ten colleges and one department, including the School of Transportation, School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, School of Artificial Intelligence, School of Intelligent Manufacturing, Business School, School of Design and Art, School of Humanities and Law, School of Physical Education, School of Marxism, and School of International Education (School of Continuing Education), and the Department of Basic Disciplines. It offers 43 undergraduate majors and 23 higher vocational majors, covering seven major disciplines: engineering, management, economics, law, literature, art, and education. Among them, there are 32 undergraduate majors in engineering and management, accounting for 76% of all undergraduate majors, forming a professional pattern dominated by engineering, combining engineering and management, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines, and has certain advantages in transportation, intelligent manufacturing, and electronic information professional groups. After the conversion in 2020, the school was approved for 1 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction point, 10 provincial first-class courses, and 15 provincial teaching reform research projects. "Intermediate Financial Accounting" and "Comparison of Chinese and Western Cultures" were respectively selected as demonstration courses in the fifth batch of 2022 and the third batch of 2023 of the "Gold Expansion Plan" of the Online Education Research Center of the Ministry of Education.
