Hubei Luojia Laboratory

Hubei Luojia Laboratory is an independent legal entity public institution and a new-type research and development institution approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and built with the support of the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and the East Lake High-tech Development Zone.
The laboratory was established in 2021 and is led and managed by Wuhan University, jointly built with multiple enterprises and institutions, and is a co-construction unit of the Hubei Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources. Academician Zhang Pingwen serves as the Director of the Laboratory, and Academician Li Jiancheng serves as the Director of the Academic Committee of the Laboratory.
The laboratory focuses on major scientific issues and independent and controllable core key technologies in directions such as BeiDou spatiotemporal intelligence, intelligent remote sensing applications, and spatiotemporal information services. It gathers high-level talent teams and advantageous innovation resources, carries out applied research, technical breakthroughs, achievement cultivation, and industrial incubation, and is committed to building an important platform for talent gathering, scientific and technological innovation, and achievement transformation, and to creating a first-class scientific research institution with significant influence in the aerospace information field.
