Taiji Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sinopharm Taiji") is a member enterprise of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sinopharm Group"). Its predecessor was the Sichuan Fuling Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory, founded in 1972. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 (stock code: 600129.SH) and became a controlled subsidiary of Sinopharm Group through strategic restructuring in 2021.
Sinopharm Taiji focuses on modern intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine, supplemented by specialty chemical drugs with narcotic and psychotropic characteristics. It is committed to inheriting and innovating traditional Chinese medicine and developing modern pharmaceuticals. It owns 9 traditional Chinese patent medicine factories, 2 chemical drug factories, 2 traditional Chinese medicine decoction piece factories, and more than 20 pharmaceutical commercial companies. It also operates two major retail pharmacy chains, "Tongjunge Pharmacy" and "Taiji Pharmacy." Its business covers pharmaceutical R&D, pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical commerce, traditional Chinese medicinal material resources, international health industry, and other fields, with 11,000 employees.

Pharmaceutical R&D
Sinopharm Taiji has a total of 1,241 drug approval documents, including 691 approval documents for traditional Chinese medicine varieties, 550 approval documents for chemical drug varieties, 737 approval documents for medical insurance varieties, 368 approval documents for essential drugs, 88 exclusive approval documents, and more than 300 valid authorized patents. Sinopharm Taiji has established a national postdoctoral research workstation, and its technology center has been recognized as a National Enterprise Technology Center. In recent years, it has successively established the "Academic Inheritance Research Office of Academician Chen Keji," the "Inheritance and Innovation Studio of National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Liao Pinzheng," the "Inheritance Studio of National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Lin Tiandong," and the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Innovation Research" Academician Workstation. It has undertaken more than 40 major special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as more than 50 provincial-level projects. Pharmaceutical Industry
Sinopharm Taiji is committed to building a modern intelligent manufacturing center featuring "first-class quality, leading cost, and green agility." It is the construction and operation unit of Chongqing's modern traditional Chinese medicine "Industry Brain," which integrates "modern traditional Chinese medicine + industrial internet + consumer internet." It owns 3 smart factories, 6 digital workshops, and 4 national green factories. It has built digital production lines with an annual output of 3 billion oral liquid units and 100 million syrup bottles, as well as an intelligent traditional Chinese medicine extraction factory with an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tons of traditional Chinese medicinal materials. It owns a national designated narcotic drug production enterprise in Southwest China, a refined traditional Chinese medicine decoction piece factory with an annual output of 3,000 tons, and 2 modern smart decoction and dispensing centers. Its Fuling Pharmaceutical Factory was rated as a "Chongqing Intelligent Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprise" and among the "First Batch of Chongqing Lighthouse Factory Seed Enterprises," selected as a 2024 "National Quality Benchmark," and awarded the "2024 National May 1 Labor Certificate." Southwest Pharmaceutical was selected as the "Second Batch of Chongqing Industrial Heritage" and has been rated as "National Worker Pioneer," "National Demonstration Enterprise for Harmonious Labor Relations," and "Seventh National Civilized Unit." Tongjunge Pharmaceutical Factory won the "Eighth Chongqing Mayor's Quality Management Award."

Pharmaceutical Commerce
Sinopharm Taiji has a modern pharmaceutical commercial system that integrates multiple formats, including hospital distribution, pharmaceutical retail, pharmaceutical distribution, terminal distribution, and pharmaceutical logistics. It handles more than 50,000 product specifications, has established multiple distribution centers, with a total warehousing area of nearly 200,000 square meters, a designed storage capacity of 3 million pieces, an annual throughput capacity of 35 million pieces, and coverage of more than 100,000 terminals. "Tongjunge Pharmacy" and "Taiji Pharmacy" have repeatedly won honors such as "Top Ten Chinese Pharmaceutical Chain Pharmacies" and "Top 50 Chain Pharmacy Enterprises" on the China Pharmaceutical Industry Most Influential List. Its subsidiary Tongjunge Co., Ltd. is a strategic reserve unit for pharmaceutical materials in Chongqing, and Tongjunge Logistics Distribution Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise in Chongqing with dual qualifications for third-party logistics of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Traditional Chinese Medicinal Material Resources
As a "National Key Leading Enterprise in Agricultural Industrialization," Sinopharm Taiji has comprehensively laid out the seven major authentic production areas across the country, built more than 200,000 mu of standardized traditional Chinese medicinal material planting bases. Atractylodes lancea and Aster tataricus have obtained the "Three No and One Complete" brand base certification for traditional Chinese medicinal materials. Perilla, Isatis root, Isatis leaf, Angelica sinensis, Astragalus membranaceus, and Forsythia suspensa have passed the GAP compliance extension inspection for traditional Chinese medicinal materials. The Fagopyrum cymosum and Perilla bases have been rated as Chongqing authentic advantageous medicinal material bases. The company has cumulatively built 20 traditional Chinese medicinal material origin processing centers, and 2 traditional Chinese medicine decoction piece factories leanly produce more than 500 varieties of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces in all categories. It also owns the Chongqing Jiefang Road Traditional Chinese Medicinal Material Professional Market, one of the first batch of 8 professional traditional Chinese medicinal material markets in the country. Taiji Cordyceps sinensis (cultivated product) relies on scientific and technological research and development, breaks through key technologies, and has achieved effective transformation and demonstration promotion after 45 years of scientific and technological accumulation. The "4G One Code One Center One Platform" modern traditional Chinese medicine digital system built by Sinopharm Taiji realizes full-process traceability of traditional Chinese medicinal material planting, processing, warehousing and circulation, and clinical application, all connected by one code.

International Business
Sinopharm Taiji is committed to the global dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture and actively explores overseas markets. It has successively been approved as an "Overseas Promotion Service Base for Traditional Chinese Patent Medicines" and a "National Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Export Base." The "Taiji" and "TAIJI" brands have registered more than 120 trademarks in nearly 60 countries and regions around the world. More than 30 product specifications, including Taiji Huoxiang Zhengqi Oral Liquid, Taiji Cordyceps, Jizhi Syrup, Taiji Tianjiao, Bushen Yishou Capsules, Danshen Oral Liquid, Wuzi Yanzong Pills, Angong Niuhuang Pills, and Ultra-concentrated Liuwei Dihuang Pills, have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and France, with nearly 100 registration numbers obtained.
