Spanning both Chengdu and Chongqing, it has four major production bases: Huaxi, Degan, Pengzhou, and Jiulong. Its headquarters is located in Chongqing. The predecessor of the company was the Hanyang Arsenal founded by Zhang Zhidong in 1889, and it is one of the 24 enterprises of modern China.
The company is mainly engaged in the research, development, and production of special products, automotive parts, and other products. Its special products cover eight major fields. Its automotive parts production includes precision-forged hollow shafts, steering gears, foot pedals, steel pistons, new energy vehicle motor shafts, and other series of components. Other industries include civilian firearms, optoelectronics, titanium alloy precision machining, powder metallurgy, and new surface coating modules.
The company has more than 3,000 on-duty employees and possesses multiple national, industry standards and invention patents.
