Dongfeng Xiaokang Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on June 27, 2003, jointly funded by Chongqing Xiaokang Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Motor Corporation, each holding a 50% stake. The company is mainly engaged in the research and development, production, sales, and services of mini trucks, mini vans, commercial vehicles, and compact MPVs. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, since 2010, Dongfeng Xiaokang mini vehicles have ranked among the top three in domestic market share in the industry. As of now, the market retention of Dongfeng Xiaokang and Dongfeng Fengguang series products has exceeded 3 million vehicles.
The company has two major production bases in Shiyan, Hubei, and Chongqing, with four vehicle manufacturing plants equipped with stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly processes. All four plants have well-equipped and technologically advanced stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly workshops, as well as advanced vehicle inspection lines. Since the launch of Dongfeng Xiaokang mini vehicles in 2005, the company has formed four series: K, V, C, and Dongfeng Fengguang, covering compact MPVs, mini vans, single/double-row trucks, box-type transport vehicles, urban multi-purpose vehicles, and special vehicles such as police, ambulance, and postal vehicles. All models adhere to the technical quality route of "manufacturing Chinese-style mini vehicles with reference to EU automotive standards" and the quality concept of "quality is life."
Dongfeng Xiaokang is the first Chinese mini vehicle brand to successively pass the Euro III, Euro IV, Euro V certifications, and the full vehicle certification under EU standards. Dongfeng Xiaokang mini vehicles are exported to more than 60 countries and regions, including Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
