Huatai Asset Management Co., Ltd. originated from the investment department of Huatai Property Insurance Company (hereinafter referred to as "Huatai Insurance"), which was established in 1996. In 2001, with the approval of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Huatai Insurance's investment department relocated to Shanghai and established the Huatai Insurance Investment Management Center, marking the beginning of professional asset management practices.
In 2005, Huatai Insurance initiated the establishment of Huatai Asset Management Company. In January 2005, with the approval of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission and the verification of the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce, Huatai Asset Management Company was officially established, becoming the third insurance asset management company in the country. The company's registered capital is 100 million RMB, and its business scope includes managing and utilizing self-owned funds and insurance funds, entrusted fund management services, consulting services related to fund management, and other asset management businesses permitted by national laws and regulations.
The ACE Group of the United States, as a strategic partner and the largest shareholder of Huatai Insurance, has given strong support to Huatai Asset Management Company. Drawing on ACE Group's globally renowned international asset management experience, Huatai Asset Management Company has developed a scientific investment management process and a strict risk control system in practice.
