In September 1996, China Merchants Bank Xi'an Branch was officially established, making it one of the earliest new-type joint-stock commercial banks to enter Xi'an. After 17 years of development, the Xi'an Branch now has 26 branch offices within the city and 5 branches in other regions. Currently, China Merchants Bank Xi'an Branch is the largest joint-stock commercial bank in Shaanxi Province in terms of scale.
