ZF Automotive Parts Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Founded in 1998, Sachs Automotive Parts Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise established by ZF Sachs AG of Germany in China. It is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of ZF AG. In 1998, the first registered capital of 5 million euros was invested to develop passenger car shock absorber business. In 2002, an additional 2.8 million euros was injected, bringing the total to 7.8 million euros, to expand its heavy-duty shock absorber business in the railway and commercial vehicle sectors. In 2006, the German headquarters injected another 9 million euros, bringing the current total registered capital to 16.8 million euros, to build a new powertrain division, mainly producing industrial torque converters, commercial vehicle clutches, and dual-mass flywheels. Currently, the company has over 300 employees, including about 80 office staff and approximately 220 workers. Among the office staff, 70% have a technical background.
