Founded in 1952, Guangdong Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (GDAD) is one of the first large-scale comprehensive survey and design institutions in New China, a modern technology service enterprise that took the lead in promoting general contracting business after the reform and opening-up, a global initiative unit for low-carbon city and building development, a national high-tech enterprise, a national advanced collective in science and technology, a national outstanding survey and design enterprise, one of the top 100 architectural design firms in contemporary China, a national demonstration unit for corporate culture construction, a civilized unit of Guangdong Province, an advanced collective in earthquake relief in Guangdong Province, an advanced collective in key project construction in Guangdong Province, an enterprise in Guangdong Province that honors contracts and values credit, a headquarters enterprise in Guangzhou, and a comprehensive urban construction technology service enterprise.
It currently has more than 3,300 employees, including 2 national engineering survey and design masters, 13 Guangdong provincial engineering survey and design masters, 11 experts enjoying government allowances, 910 personnel with senior or above professional titles, and 520 personnel with various professional registrations. It has a doctoral workstation, a postdoctoral innovation practice base, and two provincial-level engineering technology centers. Its design works have won more than 4,000 national, provincial, and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress and excellent design, boasting strong comprehensive advantages in talent, technology, and brand.
GDAD currently holds Class A qualifications in building engineering design, municipal industry design, engineering survey, engineering consulting, urban and rural planning compilation, building intelligent system engineering design, landscape engineering design, architectural decoration design, construction supervision, bidding agency, engineering contracting, and construction drawing review, as well as civil air defense design qualifications and surveying and mapping qualifications. Based in Guangdong, it provides technical services such as design, planning, survey, mapping, consulting, general contracting, drawing review, supervision, and scientific research and development both domestically and internationally.
