The hospital was founded in the late 1950s, expanded from Minjian United Clinic to West District People's Hospital, and established at No. 50 Yaowang Street; in 1980 it was renamed Changsha Tianxin District People's Hospital; in 2015 it was upgraded to a secondary specialized hospital and added the name Changsha Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Rehabilitation Hospital.
