陕西省农业机械研究所(陕西省包装食品机械研究所)创建于1958年，是陕西省科学技术厅直属的省级科研单位。专业从事农业机械、包装机械、畜牧机械及农副产品加工机械的开发研究和生产。现有职工120人，其中专业技术人员88人（享受政府津贴的专家3人，高级工程师11人，中级职称专业技术人员48人）。建所48年来，为我国农业机械化和自动称量包装机械科研和发展做出了很大的贡献。先后荣获国家和省部级成果奖励57项。
