Changsha Beidou Research Institute

Changsha Beidou Industry Safety Technology Research Institute (referred to as "Changsha Beidou Research Institute"), established in 2016, is a collaborative innovation platform for Beidou spatiotemporal information security approved by the Changsha Municipal People's Government. Its team has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial/ministerial major special projects, among which 7 personnel have been rated as national and provincial-level talents by the Changsha Municipal Government, and 15 personnel were selected for the 2021 Provincial Enterprise Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team. Relying on the team's technical advantages accumulated over nearly two decades in undertaking major national special projects for the Beidou system, Changsha Beidou Research Institute has built multiple research platforms including a post-doctoral workstation, a Hunan Provincial Academician Expert Workstation, and one of the first batch of new R&D institutions in Hunan Province. It has become a construction unit of the National Beidou Industry Innovation Demonstration Park approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, and has been honored as a National High-tech Enterprise, a National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise, and a Key Satellite Application Enterprise of Hunan Province. Its wholly-owned subsidiary has been recognized as a national "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" small giant enterprise and ranked among the top 500 units by the Ministry of Science and Technology's innovation scoring (58th in the stable period).
