The 50th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation

The 50th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the 50th Institute), located in Putuo District, Shanghai, was established in 1977. It was originally a first-class research institution directly under the former Ministry of Information Industry, and is now one of the backbone research institutes of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. It is mainly engaged in communication systems and tactical communication equipment, microwave and detection equipment, network and microwave test instruments, and terahertz technology application research and development. The institute currently has more than 800 employees, with 7 business units and 1 industrial company. Its products and technologies have been widely applied in various fields of national economic construction, making significant contributions to modernization.
Since its establishment, the 50th Institute has won 490 awards for scientific and technological progress at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and nearly 300 authorized patents and software copyrights. It has been awarded honors such as "National Civilized Unit", "National May Day Labor Medal", "Advanced Unit for Ideological and Political Work of Central Enterprises", "Shanghai Civilized Unit", and "Shanghai Enterprise Cultural Construction Demonstration Base".
