AGC Inc., founded in 1907 by Toshiya Iwasaki, the second son of the second president of Mitsubishi, operates globally across North America, Europe, and Asia (including Japan). Based on its glass, display, and chemical businesses, the group has expanded into advanced and rapidly growing industries such as electronics and energy. In 2014, the group achieved sales of 1.35 trillion yen and employed approximately 51,000 people.
Among these, AGC's flat glass and automotive glass businesses hold the No.1 position in the global market. In the LCD glass industry, it conducts global operations and ranks second worldwide, making it one of the world's leading glass manufacturers.
With the rapid growth of global demand for LCD panels, AGC's product sales have risen significantly. In response to market expansion, after establishing operations in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, AGC decided to establish a new production base in China, namely AGC Display Glass (Huizhou) Co., Ltd.
AGC Display Glass (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise invested by AGC Inc. of Japan, registered in Huizhou on May 19, 2015, with a registered capital of 8.9 billion yen. It is primarily engaged in the development, production, and sales of display materials (glass substrates) for TFT-LCD flat panel displays.
The company will establish a new factory in Yingguang Village, Lilin Town, Huizhou, in September 2015, covering an area of 130,000 square meters, to be constructed in five phases. Phase I began trial production in the second half of 2016, mainly producing 11th-generation TFT-LCD glass substrate original plates. The first three phases are in normal production, and Phase IV is currently under construction, with official production expected to begin in November 2023.
The construction of this project not only benefits AGC in further developing the Chinese market and consolidating its leading position in TFT-LCD glass substrates globally, but also has positive significance for the transformation and structural adjustment of China's domestic color TV enterprises, further improving the TFT-LCD industrial chain in Huizhou, Shenzhen, and surrounding cities, promoting industrial agglomeration, and driving regional economic development.
I. Working Hours and Leave
(1) Implement a standard working hour system of 5 days and 8 hours; overtime will be compensated according to relevant regulations.
(2) Employees are entitled to company annual leave, marriage leave, maternity leave, prenatal check-up leave, sterilization surgery leave, paternity leave, bereavement leave, etc., in accordance with the law.
