Fujian Hengan Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1985 and is currently a well-known manufacturer of household paper and maternal and child hygiene products in China. Hengan International was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 8, 1998 (stock code: 1044.HK). On June 7, 2011, Hengan International was included as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index. Over the 23 years since its listing, the company has maintained sustained and healthy development, with its three leading products—sanitary napkins, baby diapers, and household paper—ranking first in domestic market share. The company currently employs 23,000 staff, has 34 production companies and 535 sales branches nationwide, and has production bases and sales offices overseas, with products exported to 63 countries and regions worldwide.
In 2020, Hengan Group achieved revenue of 22.374 billion RMB; operating profit reached 6.39 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%; net profit was 4.608 billion RMB, up 17.6% year-on-year. While pursuing corporate development, Hengan also places emphasis on social responsibility. Since its listing, the company has cumulatively paid over 30 billion RMB in taxes. Over the 36 years of corporate development, Hengan and its major shareholders have cumulatively donated over 1.4 billion RMB.
