Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhengmeiji Group") is located in Zhengzhou, an important transportation hub city in China and the eighth ancient capital, and is a large-scale backbone enterprise in China specializing in the production of hydraulic supports, ranking among the top 500 enterprises in China's machinery industry.
Zhengmeiji Group was founded in 1958, and it is the birthplace of China's first hydraulic support. Its predecessor was Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Factory (affiliated with the Ministry of Coal Industry), a key project of China's First Five-Year Plan. In 1998, it was placed under the management of Henan Provincial Coal Industry Administration. It has total assets of 2.5 billion yuan, net assets of approximately 660 million yuan, with 9 production branches, a production area of about 450,000 square meters, over 3,300 employees, more than 800 professional technicians, over 200 senior technical personnel, and 6 experts receiving special government allowances. It has produced over 80,000 hydraulic supports of various types, supporting heights from 0.55 meters to 6.5 meters and supporting strengths from 1600 kN to 15000 kN. Its products are distributed across major mining groups nationwide and exported to Russia, India, Turkey, and other countries.
In 2006, Zhengmeiji Group ranked 55th among the top 100 coal enterprises in China and was the first selected coal machinery manufacturer. It has received honors such as "Excellent Enterprise in China's Coal Industry", "Excellent Enterprise in China's Coal Machinery Industry", "Excellent Enterprise in Coal Industry Technology Innovation", and "Demonstration Enterprise for Informatization Management in National Coal Enterprises", and was rated as "Top Ten Science and Technology Progress Enterprises in National Coal Industry" for two consecutive years. Zhengmeiji Group ranks first globally in annual output of supports by quantity and weight. In 2007, it produced over 6,800 supports, making it the undisputed leader in China's coal machinery industry.
In recent years, Zhengmeiji Group has achieved fundamental changes in technological innovation, management innovation, and equipment renewal, transforming the enterprise's overall appearance dramatically. In design, it employs modern methods such as 3D simulation design, finite element analysis, and simulated support pressure testing, fully meeting the current demands of domestic and international users for hydraulic supports. It is equipped with advanced professional inspection equipment such as a thousand-ton support pressure test bench compatible with European standards, a thousand-ton column test bench, and a read-only spectrometer, ensuring the maximization of user benefits through strict quality inspection and a comprehensive after-sales service system. It has preliminarily formed a hydraulic support product system with independent intellectual property rights. High-end hydraulic supports with electric-hydraulic control systems, including 5.5m, 6.2m, 6.3m, and 6.5m models, have been successively launched to the market, breaking multiple domestic and world records and achieving multiple technological breakthroughs.
Zhengmeiji Group's technological R&D and tackling of key problems in the hydraulic support field have greatly improved the overall technical and process level of China's comprehensive mining equipment manufacturing industry, fully breaking the monopoly of German DBT and American JOY on China's high-end hydraulic support market.
In recent years, Zhengmeiji Group has placed great emphasis on the construction and consolidation of a high-tech R&D system, investing over 400 million yuan to comprehensively upgrade the hardware environment required for high-tech development, ensuring the advancement of design and development means. At present, Zhengmeiji Group's technical center has successfully passed national-level certification. The group has appointed 4 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering as long-term technical consultants and academic leaders, established a "Design and Research Institute" with multiple research institutes under it, and formed an electric-hydraulic control technology R&D center. Substantial progress has been made in the development of electric-hydraulic control technology, with industrial trials expected to be fully completed by the end of 2008. Under construction are a key technology research laboratory for hydraulic supports, a testing and testing center for high-end hydraulic supports, and a comprehensive inspection and testing center for electric-hydraulic valves.
Since 2000, Zhengmeiji Group's total industrial output value has increased from 111 million yuan to 2.38 billion yuan in 2006, a 20-fold growth, maintaining an average annual growth rate of over 65% for six consecutive years, achieving leapfrog development. On the basis of fully understanding the domestic and international coal machinery market situation and seriously summarizing years of development experience, Zhengmeiji people have proposed the "11th Five-Year Plan" development plan and formulated a "five modernization" development strategy with the core content of "diversified property rights, complete product sets, internationalization of high-end products, rentalization of the mid-end market, and share-holding in the low-end market".
On May 1, 2007, General Secretary Hu Jintao inspected Zhengmeiji Group.
