Ningbo Shuanglin Auto Parts Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock company restructured from the auto parts division and mold division of Shuanglin Group. It is an export-oriented enterprise specializing in the design, manufacturing, and sales of molds, automotive seat accessories, interior trim parts, and automotive electronics. The company has successfully developed leading products such as seat drive devices, seat memory devices, flexible shafts, pipes, and automotive interior and exterior plastic parts. The mold division under the joint-stock company possesses the largest mold design and processing development capability in Zhejiang region and is a vice-chairman unit of the China Die & Mould Industry Association.
From 1998 to 2005, the company was among the top 100 Chinese electronic component enterprises. In 2000, it was rated as a High-tech Enterprise of Zhejiang Province, a CAD Technology Application Engineering Demonstration Enterprise, and its products were awarded as Zhejiang Famous Brand Products. In 2001, it was rated as a National Key High-tech Enterprise and obtained the "Technological Innovation, Quality Products" title of Zhejiang Province. In February 2006, the company formed a technical cooperation partnership with Japan's Sanko Seiki Industrial Co., Ltd. It has established scientific research collaboration relationships with many research institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology and Dalian University of Technology, and has invested heavily to set up a product R&D center in Ningbo, strengthening independent R&D capabilities for auto parts, electronics, and electrical products.
The auto parts division under the company produces automotive seat systems, interior systems, engine systems, and related electronic components. It is one of the main suppliers for GM, Ford, Bosch, Valeo, Faurecia, among others. This division's products are sold overseas, and it has set up three overseas offices and nearly ten overseas warehouses.
In March 2006, the company established the first local post-doctoral workstation.
After years of development, Ningbo Shuanglin Auto Parts Co., Ltd. has formed a relatively complete modern corporate governance structure. In early 2006, the company entered the listing guidance period with approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
