ThoughtWorks is a social and commercial organization whose purpose is to lead the revolution in software creation and delivery to advocate positive change in global society. Our founder, Roy Singham, established ThoughtWorks in 1993, attracting and employing the best knowledge workers - becoming "ThoughtWorkers" who share core fundamental values -- right attitude, extraordinary ability, and integrity.
Over the years, ThoughtWorks has grown from a small office in a Chicago factory district with just a few passionate employees to a global enterprise with 1,700 people, distributed across 8 countries, and 22 offices: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the United States. Our desire to grow stems from our recognition that technology connects people around the world as never before.

Our Services
As a leader in Agile, we closely combine lean thinking, agile practices, and our unique and clear consulting and delivery methods, continuously pursuing excellent software quality to provide pragmatic consulting services to our clients. We employ extraordinary talent to accurately meet clients' business needs through on-site or off-shore distributed agile methods, helping Global 500 enterprises quickly turn technology into value and adapt to the rapidly changing business environment.
During delivery, our experts work with clients to design, build, deploy, and improve systems, striving to make the developed systems an integral asset of the client's business. In providing consulting services, ThoughtWorks employees offer profound insights into difficult problems, facilitate the transformation of clients' IT departments, provide objective support for clients' major decisions, troubleshoot project and technical issues, and coordinate project delivery progress.

Our Software Products
In the second half of 2006, ThoughtWorks opened its "Studios" division, focusing on creating outstanding software products based on over a decade of enterprise application development and consulting experience. Consistent with ThoughtWorks' purpose, ThoughtWorks Studios is dedicated to creating software that is easy to use, powerful, and delivers real business value to clients. Current products from ThoughtWorks Studios include: the Agile project management tool -- Mingle;
Project deployment and build management tool -- Go;
Automated testing tool -- Twist.
