Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as CHBSC), English name: Continental Huayu Brake Systems (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., is a Sino-foreign joint venture established by Continental AG of Germany and HASCO, a listed auto parts company under SAIC Group, with a registered capital of 200 million RMB, and each shareholder holds 50%.
Continental AG, founded in 1871, is a multinational enterprise group with a century-old history and one of the leading automotive OEM product suppliers. Continental AG aims to create a safe and comfortable driving experience for consumers, and many of its business units have a certain market position: brake calipers, safety electronics, in-vehicle intelligent communication systems, automotive instruments and fuel supply systems; electronic brake systems and brake boosters. It is also the world's fourth-largest tire supplier and Europe's largest supplier of passenger car and light truck, winter tires and commercial tires.
HASCO's predecessor was Shanghai Bus Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. In 2009, SAIC Group injected its independent parts supply business into Bus Co. With the asset restructuring of Bus Co., the company name was changed to "HASCO Automotive Systems Co., Ltd.", achieving an overall transformation from a bus business to an independent automotive parts supply business. HASCO directly owns 23 independent automotive parts supply enterprises, covering three major business segments: automotive interior and exterior trim parts, functional assemblies, and thermal processing, including Yanfeng Visteon, GKN, Sanden Behr, Koito, etc.
CHBSC is located in Yufu Industrial Zone, Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, covering an area of 126 mu. The company has advanced automated equipment, with main processes including machining, electroplating, and assembly, producing brake calipers, vacuum boosters, and electronic parking systems, and has established long-term and good cooperative relationships with many well-known vehicle manufacturers in the market.
