Jiangsu Nanrui Hengchi Electric Equipment Co., Ltd. was established in 2005, formerly known as Wuxi Suyuan Electric Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd. In August 2010, after equity changes, it became a Sino-foreign joint venture controlled by State Grid Electric Power Research Institute with foreign investment. Hengchi Electric also co-invested with Alstom to establish Alstom Disconnector (Wuxi) Co., Ltd.
