National Construction and Urban Construction Machinery Quality Supervision and Inspection Center

The National Construction and Urban Construction Machinery Quality Supervision and Inspection Center is a *product quality supervision and inspection center legally authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. It was founded in 1956, and its predecessor was the comprehensive laboratory of the former *Beijing Construction Machinery Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry (formerly Changsha Construction Machinery Research Institute). After more than 40 years of unremitting efforts, with the support and help of relevant national competent departments and enterprises, it has actively introduced advanced instruments and equipment, continuously improved personnel quality, strengthened internal scientific management, improved inspection quality and inspection level, followed the working principles of objectivity and fairness, scientific standardization, authority and integrity, and honesty and efficiency to serve enterprises, and provided strong technical support for the country and relevant industry departments. It has developed into a first-class *inspection institution with *level. This center is mainly engaged in: type tests, product testing and appraisal, national product quality spot checks, special equipment manufacturing license condition review, product production license inspection, product quality certification or arbitration commissioned inspection, and product import and export commodity inspection for a total of 85 products including construction lifting machinery, piling machinery, road surface and compaction machinery, aerial work machinery, steel bar machinery, municipal garden machinery, earthmoving machinery, concrete machinery, and special vehicles, etc.
This center also undertakes the acceptance inspection of major national technology introduction projects, the research and testing of national key technology research and development projects, the safety component inspection of construction elevators entering Hong Kong entrusted by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the safety inspection of construction equipment in use at construction sites in Beijing, Ningbo, Changsha and other regions, as well as the preparation of type test rules for 18 products including tower cranes, construction hoists, safety devices and parking equipment for national electromechanical special equipment.

Quality objectives:
Follow the accreditation criteria, establish and continuously improve the quality system, standardize and control the entire testing process, and build the laboratory into an advanced laboratory that leaders can trust, users are satisfied with, and that is authoritative in the industry. Inspection reports shall not contain data or conclusive errors, the rate of other errors shall be less than 1%, and the timely completion rate of agreements and tasks shall reach 95%.

2007 The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine adjusted the determined type test institutions and the scope of their type test items, and added the type test qualification for safety protection devices.
