Beijing Subway

Beijing Metro Operation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Subway) was established on April 15, 1970, and is a large wholly state-owned company directly under the Beijing municipal government. By the end of 2024, Beijing operated 29 subway lines with a total operating mileage of over 800 kilometers, of which Beijing Subway operated 19 lines with a total operating mileage of 592 kilometers, making significant contributions to alleviating traffic congestion in Beijing and increasing the proportion of green travel. The company's headquarters has 21 departments, 9 branches, 5 wholly-owned subsidiaries, and 6 equity-holding or controlling subsidiaries. It currently employs over 30,000 staff.
