Founded in 2006, it currently has a registered capital of 50.16 million yuan. The company is a shareholder unit of Huazhi Rice Bio-technology Co., Ltd., initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2014, a member of the China Seed Association and a governing unit of its Rice Industry Branch, a vice-president unit of the Jiangxi Seed Association, and a governing unit of the Jiangxi Crop Society and Genetics Society. In 2015, it was awarded the title of "Municipal Agricultural Industrialization Leading Enterprise" by Nanchang City. In August 2017, it was rated as a "National High-tech Enterprise." In October 2017, it was rated as a "AAA Credit Enterprise" by the China Seed Association. Jiangxi Keyuan Seed Industry is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangxi Hengmao Agricultural Technology Group Co., Ltd. The company currently has 45 employees and has departments including Comprehensive Affairs, Finance, Marketing, Scientific Research, Production, Quality Inspection and Logistics Processing Center, and Kewei Crop Research Institute. 　　It governs Jiangxi Kewei Crop Research Institute and has established long-term strategic partnerships for cooperative development of technological achievements with many well-known research and teaching institutions, including the China National Rice Research Institute, the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, and the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It includes one 8-story comprehensive seed research building (6,041 square meters), three normal-temperature warehouses (8,344.1 square meters), a low-temperature and low-humidity warehouse (2,338.5 square meters), and a processing center (1,360 square meters), with a total construction area of 18,151.3 square meters. With a total investment of over 40 million yuan, it has been newly built into a currently first-class modern seed research, storage, inspection, processing, and logistics center in Jiangxi. Construction started in March 2014 and it was fully put into use in August 2016. 　　Guangxi Hengmao Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is a modern agricultural high-tech enterprise integrating the breeding of new crop varieties of rice and corn, production, promotion, and operation. Founded in 2008, it currently has a registered capital of 100.16 million yuan. In October 2014, it became an A-certificate enterprise of the Ministry of Agriculture for "integration of breeding, propagation, and promotion." 　　The company currently governs two specialized research institutes—"Nanning Hengmao Seed Industry Science Academy" and "Jiangxi Kewei Crop Research Institute"—and has established breeding bases in Nanning, Guangxi; Nanchang, Jiangxi; Lingshui, Hainan; and Shenyang, Liaoning. It has established long-term strategic partnerships for cooperative development of technological achievements with many domestic research and teaching institutions, including the China National Rice Research Institute, the National Hybrid Rice Engineering Technology Research Center, and Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School. It owns 36 approved rice and corn varieties with independent intellectual property rights, including 3 nationally approved varieties and 33 provincially approved varieties.
