无锡市妇幼保健院创建于1950年，是一所集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健于一体的三级甲等妇幼保健院，为南京医科大学附属医院。目前开放床位680张，现有职工1千余人，医院综合排名始终保持在江苏省三级专科医院前列。先后被命名为苏南地区遗传医学诊断中心、全国爱婴医院、世界卫生组织临床研究及培训基地，2011年成立杨焕明院士工作站和江苏省博士后创新实践基地，2015年成为*博士后科研工作站。医院妇科、产科为江苏省临床重点专科，遗传医学中心、生殖健康科、新生儿科为江苏省妇幼保健重点学科，产前诊断实验室为无锡市临床重点专科，妇产科为无锡市妇产科疾病诊疗中心。?
医院拥有江苏省“333工程培养对象”5名，省级重点医学人才3名，省级六大高峰人才培养对象5名，无锡市有突出贡献中青年专家3名，无锡市社会事业*人才4名。近年来共发表论文677篇（SCI论文78篇），主编专着3部，鉴定课题42项，立项课题123项，其中国家自然科学基金课题7项，累计获课题经费1109万元，获批专利16项。
