Quyang Hospital

Shanghai Quyang Hospital, founded in April 1989, is a modern comprehensive secondary hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rehabilitation, and health care. Approved by the Shanghai Municipal Healthcare Security Bureau as a designated medical insurance institution and a designated hospital for retired cadres' medical care, it has provided various medical services to over 6 million person-times since its establishment, and has been awarded honors such as National Baby-Friendly Hospital and District-Level Civilized Unit. The hospital currently has 200 approved beds, more than 30 clinical and technical departments, and 2 clinical laboratories. It is designated as the emergency rescue hospital for Shanghai Metro disasters and the charity outpatient department of the Shanghai Charity Foundation. The hospital is equipped with large modern medical equipment required for clinical use, including CT.
In March 2003, the hospital pioneered the reform of Shanghai's public hospital system, becoming one of the first non-profit hospitals in Shanghai that were fully transferred from public ownership to private operation. After the restructuring, the hospital management underwent operational changes, introducing many modern management concepts and measures such as the chief physician full-responsibility system, strategic business unit (SBU) management, flexible ward bed management, balanced scorecards, and 360-degree performance appraisal, leading to rapid development of the hospital.
In March 2005, the hospital cooperated with Fudan University again, becoming a member hospital of the Fudan University Hospital Management Group. On this basis, through the introduction of professional medical talents from Fudan, it established the Quyang Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University (Shanghai Red House Hospital), the Quyang Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University, the Expert Joint Consultation Center of Fudan University Affiliated Hospitals, and the Health Management Center, among other new departments. Relying on Fudan University's professional brand and academic talents, the hospital aims to build itself into a new-type hospital integrating professional medical technology and modern service concepts.
