The 14th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation is located in the picturesque city of Nanjing, with the new campus covering an area of nearly 2,000 mu. It is the birthplace of China's radar industry, the pioneer of many new and high-end radar equipment in the country, and a comprehensive electronic information engineering research institute with international competitiveness. Its predecessor was the "Special Telecommunications Equipment Repair Institute of the *** Department of the Republic of China" established in 1946; after the uprising in April 1949, it was taken over by the People's Liberation Army and successively under the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Tenth Academy of the Ministry, the Tenth Academy of the Fourth Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Tenth Research Institute of the Science and Technology Commission, the Ministry of Electronics Industry, the Ministry of Information Industry, etc. Since 2002, it has been affiliated with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.

It has successively received numerous honorary titles including National Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction, National May Day Labor Award, and Jiangsu Provincial Model Unit for Civilization.
