Chongqing Monorail Transit Engineering Co., Ltd. was established in August 2005. It is a domestic general contracting enterprise for straddle-type monorail transit engineering construction, possessing a Grade I general contracting qualification for municipal public works construction, a Grade II general contracting qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering construction, a Grade II general contracting qualification for building construction, a Grade III specialized contracting qualification for steel structure engineering, a Grade III specialized contracting qualification for environmental protection engineering, and foreign contracting engineering operation qualifications. The company has 6 wholly-owned subsidiaries (participating or controlling), including Chongqing Yijie Monorail Transit Industry Investment Co., Ltd., Chongqing Jieyun Precast Concrete Components Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Kecheng Subway Engineering Testing Co., Ltd., building a general contracting enterprise integrating general contracting for straddle-type monorail transit engineering, subway engineering, and municipal engineering, concrete precast components, engineering testing, and rail transit investment and financing. The company successfully developed a 24-meter-long PC track beam formwork, fully mastered the design and manufacturing technology of the formwork, and the precast production and alignment adjustment technology of PC track beams. In the field of straddle-type monorail transit, it has the integration capability of monorail transit proprietary industry chains such as power supply equipment, power supply lines, integrated grounding systems, low-voltage distribution systems, turnout systems, communication systems, signal systems, platform screen doors/safety doors, automatic fare collection, escalators and elevator systems, integrated monitoring, ventilation and air conditioning systems, water supply and drainage and fire protection, depot equipment, work vehicles, and integrated commissioning. Since its establishment, the company has undertaken, by way of general contracting, the track beam bridge system engineering of the first phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3, the second phase of Line 3, the southern extension of Line 3, the extension of Line 2, and the civil works and equipment procurement and installation works of the northern extension of Line 3, totaling 78 kilometers of monorail transit engineering; it has undertaken the civil works of the section from Laijiaqiao to Weidianyuan Station of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 1, and the section from University City to Jiandingpo; the Lianhuacun Station and section tunnels, depot access tunnels, Shapingba Station, Shazhengjie Station and section tunnel works of Chongqing Rail Transit Loop Line; and the precast production and erection of U-shaped beams for the Shada section of Rail Transit Line 1 and other subway projects; it has contracted the production and supply of subway segments for Chongqing Rail Transit, and undertaken municipal projects such as the Xingai Interchange and building projects such as the scientific research comprehensive building. The second phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 undertaken by the company won the "National Municipal Golden Cup Demonstration Project" award.
