Chongqing Sanfeng Environment Group Corp., Ltd. (601827.SH) is dedicated to full industry chain services including investment in waste incineration power generation projects, EPC general contracting, equipment manufacturing and operation management. Its major shareholders include Chongqing Water Asset (Derun Environment), CITIC Environment Investment Group, China Cinda Asset Management, etc. It is a pilot unit of the State Council's "Double Hundred Action" for state-owned enterprise reform, one of the Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises, one of China's Top 50 Environmental Enterprises, and one of China's Top 10 Most Influential Enterprises in the Solid Waste Industry. In the course of its continuous development and growth, Sanfeng Environment has made positive contributions to promoting the development of China's waste incineration power generation industry: First, it broke through foreign technological monopolies and achieved domestic optimization of the complete set of equipment. The company was among the earliest in the industry to introduce, digest and absorb Martin GmbH's waste incineration power generation technology from Germany, and achieved localization of the complete set of equipment. Second, it led the drafting of national standards and guided the healthy development of the industry. It has led the drafting of 6 national and industry core standards including "Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator and Heat Recovery Boiler" and participated in the drafting of 11 others. Third, it built an innovation platform to promote continuous technological progress. On the basis of having obtained multiple technical patents, it strives to build an industry-leading innovation platform, and has successively obtained approval from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment to establish the "National Environmental Protection Engineering Technology Center for Waste Incineration Treatment and Resource Utilization," and approval from the National Development and Reform Commission to establish the "National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Technology." Fourth, its market share leads the nation. As of March 2021, Sanfeng Environment has invested in 49 waste incineration power generation projects, with a daily household waste treatment capacity of 54,700 tons; its technology and equipment have been applied to 361 incineration lines in 212 waste incineration power generation projects in China and 8 countries including the United States, India, Ethiopia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Brazil, with a daily household waste treatment capacity of nearly 200,000 tons, ranking first in domestic market share. Fifth, it proactively fulfills corporate social responsibility and gives back to the public through environmental protection popular science education. Sanfeng Environment transforms professional knowledge of the waste-to-energy industry into various educational and entertaining publicity materials, and uses the environmental protection education bases within its waste-to-energy plants as carriers to bring environmental protection science popularization to the public. It has been jointly awarded the National Primary and Secondary School Environmental Education Social Practice Base by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Education.
