Taiji Group Chongqing Tongjunge Pharmaceutical Factory Co., Ltd. was founded in 1908 (the 34th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty). It is a manufacturer of traditional Chinese patent medicines with honors such as 'China Time-honored Brand' and '*Intangible Cultural Heritage'. The company is located in the Economic Development Zone of Chongqing, covering an area of nearly 80,000 square meters. With a garden-style factory area and modern production lines, it has an annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons of Chinese medicinal materials and can produce 12 dosage forms and 251 varieties. Among them, 11 are national protected traditional Chinese medicine varieties, 20 are exclusive nationwide varieties, and 62 are included in the National Essential Medicines List. In 2009, the 'Tongjunge Traditional Chinese Patent Medicine Production Craft Culture' was listed as 'Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage'; in 2010, the 'Tongjunge Traditional Pill Making Technique' was included in the *'Intangible Cultural Heritage' list by the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Center. In 2012, Tongjunge Pharmaceutical Factory was listed as a 'Productive Protection Demonstration Base' for Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage. It was also rated as a 'Growth Enterprise' by the Nan'an District Government and ranked among the 60 key industrial enterprises in Nan'an District. In 2013, Tongjunge Pharmaceutical Factory was awarded the 'Outstanding Contribution Award for the Development of Chongqing's Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry' by the Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association.
